Coming out to my dad could have been the plot of a sitcom episode. Alright ya'll ready to cringe? I came out to my parents on February 16, 2008. Now, what led up to this? Well uh... I discovered what a furry was like, maybe 36 hours beforehand and immediately found myself identifying with it. But what does that have to do with furry? Uhhhhh... so I mistook furry for my sexual orientation and literally told my dad I'm a bisexual furry. For the record, I'm not bisexual, I was just confused and didn't have a proper label. Dad didn't know how to react to the furry label and to be honest I couldn't explain it either. But otherwise, dad's reaction?
